january 20, 1980 - march 15, 1980   Nancy Weaver (1982)

This book is a limited edition facsimile of a book originally written by Nancy Weaver in 1980. The original book was written as it was being printed on press. All of the diaristic text was created in the letterpress composing stick each day by Weaver, then immediatly printed on the Vandercook press at Visual Studies Workshop Press in Rochester, NY. The book has an immediacy and freshness that comes as one extemporianously writes a personal narrative.

The facsimile was printed by offset and published by Spaceheater Editions in 1983. Printed by Philip Zimmermann and Clifton Meador on a Heidelberg KORD at Open Studio Printshop, Rhinebeck, NY. Perfect bound by Phil Zimmermann and Noël Phillips at the same location.

Nancy Weaver is an artist who lives on Martha's Vineyard in Massachusetts, but originally hails from North Carolina. The book is in a signed and numbered edition of 700. The book is 8.75" x 5.75" and printed on Mohawk Superfine. Available from Philip Zimmermann (see contact info) for $15 plus postage.
